Summary

San Francisco, CA

Sunnydale HOPE SF is a master-planned development that will transform the existing Sunnydale and Velasco public housing sites into a new mixed-income development with 1,700 units of new affordable and market-rate housing, 6.5 acres of new parks and open space, and up to 72,000 sq. ft. of community space. Phases 1A-1 (Block 6B) and 1A- 2 (Block 6A) of the Sunnydale Development are comprised of 169 two- and three-bedroom apartments, property management offices, common areas, off-street parking for vehicles and bicycles.

In a Joint Venture with Baines Group, Inc., Nibbi Concrete performed the structural concrete portion for the project, consisting of  spread footings & grade beams, slab-on-grade, shear walls & gravity columns, and post-tensioned suspended slabs.  In total, the team poured 7,920 cubic yards of concrete, which included 924,000 LBS of reinforcing steel for this complicated structure on a sloping site.  Special thanks to Pacific Steel Group, Dolan Concrete Construction, Interstate Concrete Pumping, Nationwide Shotcrete, and Cemex.
